An artist journal response is an opportunity to discover both contemporary and historic visual artists. Our goal is to increase the visual knowledge and culture we are exposed to. The more artwork/artists you see and understand the more you yourself can create as an artist.
Your Response must include the following criteria,
- Birth/death
- Country of origin
- Family history
- Artist’s style, medium, preferred subject matter
- A description of a work of art that defines the artist’s style including its title, size, medium
- Choose one: How did what was happening in society influence the artist’s work? How did the artist’s work influence society?
- What you like or dislike about the artist’s work
