Elected Positions
Student Government President
- Open to any student to run for.
- Job duties include the following:
- Serving on the SG Head Council with the SG Secretary, Community Commissioner, and Spirit Commissioner.
- Running the SG Monday meetings after school.
- Setting up the agenda for SG Monday meetings with the SG Secretary.
- Spearheading SG efforts (community service, advisory, events, etc).
- Signing off on new club charters.
- Coordinating between different councils of Student Government (i.e. between community service and dances).
- Interacting with students and staff to determine what ways SG can best serve the school.
Student Government Secretary
- Open to any student to run for.
- Job duties include the following:
- Serving on the SG Head Council with the SG President, Community Commissioner, and Spirit Commissioner.
- Setting up the agenda for SG Monday meetings with the SG President.
- Taking notes at the SG Monday meetings after school.
- Spearhead fundraising efforts for events across Student Government.
- Storing club charter information.
- Keeping Ms. Roland up to date with Student Government events for the website.
- Advertising Student Government events on campus.
- Interacting with students and staff to determine what ways SG can best serve the school.
Community Commissioner
- Open to any student to run for.
- Job duties include the following:
- Serving on the SG Head Council with the SG President, SG Secretary, and Spirit Commissioner.
- Spearheading the Community Council, leading and working with the Internal and External Community Directors.
- Ensure at least one Internal Community event happens per quarter. Ensure at least one large External Community event happens per semester.
- Keeping Ms. Roland up to date with Student Government events for the website.
- Interacting with students and staff to determine what ways SG can best serve the school.
Spirit Commissioner
- Open to any student to run for.
- Job duties include the following:
- Serving on the SG Head Council with the SG President, SG Secretary, and Spirit Commissioner.
- Spearheading the Spirit Council, leading and working with the Dance and Activity Directors.
- Plan and execute Homecoming Week. – Find new ways to build school spirit at MRAHS.
- Keeping Ms. Roland up to date with Student Government events for the website.
- Interacting with students and staff to determine what ways SG can best serve the school.
9th/10th/11th Grade Class Presidents
- Open to any student in each respective grade level.
- Job duties include the following:
- Serving as lead representative for your grade level.
- Interacting with students and staff to determine what ways SG can best serve the school.
- Work with the Advisory Director to build community across your grade level (through competitions, partnerships, common activities, etc).
- Plan at least one grade-wide event/activity per semester.
- Work with other SG members to determine how best to increase your grade level’s investment in MRAHS both academically and socially.

Appointed Positions
Internal Community Director
- Open to any student to run for.
- Job duties include the following:
- Spearheading campus-wide campaigns to increase student investment in MRAHS and to address pivotal MRAHS issues (culture, core values, high school issues, etc).
- Plan and execute at least one internal community event per quarter.
- Keeping Ms. Roland up to date with Student Government events for the website.
- Interacting with students and staff to determine what ways SG can best serve the school.
External Community Director
- Open to any student to run for.
- Job duties include the following:
- Spearheading campus-wide campaigns to increase student awareness of issues occurring outside of the MRAHS walls in local communities.
- Contact and coordinate with nonprofits and organizations in the community to determine where the MRAHS student body can have the largest impact.
- Plan and execute at least one external community event per semester.
- Keeping Ms. Roland up to date with Student Government events for the website.
- Interacting with students and staff to determine what ways SG can best serve the school.
Dance Director
- Open to any student to run for.
- Job duties include the following:
- Planning and executing the Homecoming Dance (and maybe Prom?!?!?!?).
- Keeping Ms. Roland up to date with Student Government events for the website.
- Interacting with students and staff to determine what ways SG can best serve the school.
- NOTE: This is a Fall Semester heavy position.
Activity Director
- Open to any student to run for.
- Job duties include the following:
- Building off of the work Rec Crew has done to plan fun activities for the school.
- Planning and executing one large scale and two small scale activities per quarter.
- Keeping Ms. Roland up to date with Student Government events for the website.
- Interacting with students and staff to determine what ways SG can best serve the school.
Advisory Director
- Open to any student to run for.
- Job duties include the following:
- Working with the SG President and Class Presidents to best serve the advisory needs of students.
- Create fun incentives/competitions/events for advisories to participate in.
- Be the point person for advisors to reach out to Student Government, and vice versa.
- Keeping Ms. Roland up to date with Student Government events for the website.
- Interacting with students and staff to determine what ways SG can best serve the school.
Rec Crew Coordinator(s) **5 AVAILABLE**
- Open to any student to run for.
- Job duties include the following:
- Based on your interest, managing the Rec Crew General Members within your specific Student Government council.
- Serving as extra hands and minds for creating fun, community and spirit building campus events.
- Keeping Ms. Roland up to date with Student Government events for the website.
- Interacting with students and staff to determine what ways SG can best serve the school.
Rec Crew General Member
- Open to any student to run for.
- Job duties include the following:
- Based on your interests, serving on a Student Government council as an extra set of hands and added brain power for creating fun, community and spirit building campus events.
- Keeping Ms. Roland up to date with Student Government events for the website.
- Interacting with students and staff to determine what ways SG can best serve the school.
